One of the purposes of the Fashion Group
Foundation is to inspire a keener interest in the fashion
industries by providing scholarships for individuals studying the
field of fashion/interior design. Since 1994, The Fashion Group
Foundation - San Francisco has awarded 37 scholarships and grants
to deserving students.
2009 Scholarship(s) Information
Award
Amount - $4000.00
The winner(s) will also receive a one-year student membership and
admission to meetings of the Fashion Group of San Francisco.
Criteria
A student(s) currently enrolled in fashion or interior design
curriculum in an accredited Northern California area two-year or
four-year college. Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate
program or graduate program with a minimum of 6 units per quarter
or semester. Students in merchandising, illustration, fashion
marketing, design, visual merchandising, textiles, image
consulting, fashion journalism, interior design or production may
apply.
Consideration
Evaluation and consideration criteria for the scholarship includes
G.P.A., career goals, commitment and contribution to the industry
or their fashion/interior design program. We are providing this
scholarship to a student who has shown continual interest and
competence in fashion and fashion related fields.
2009 Application Deadline
The applications must be postmarked by Friday, October 16,
2009.

The semi-finalists will be notified by the beginning of November
and invited to an interview. The winners will be presented with
their scholarship at the Silent Auction & Soiree on November
19, 2009.
